Value alters perspective by making a two dimensional drawing 3 dimensional. Adding highlights and shadows to a drawing is value.
I used a blender to shade, a 4B pencil to trace, and a white charcoal pencil to add highlights and dimensions.

I used green and purple complimentary colors. I drew my friend Elise, my friend Alyssa drew me, Elise drew Alyssa. The challenge for me on this drawing was making it look realistic. I could not get the nose to look right!!!
